Behind Patan Durbar Square lies a lattice of restored bahals (monastic courtyards) — Kwa Bahal with its Golden Temple, Uku Bahal (Rudravarna Mahabihar), and sunken medieval waterspouts (dhunge dhara) still running. This walk links them in a couple of unhurried hours, ending naturally among the cafes of Jhamsikhel or a Newari lunch at Honacha.
